Many companies offering an Affiliate program are deriving much of their income from the sale of products or information being sold to their own Affiliates. They are told they can earn higher commissions by purchasing these products. More recently, these programs have taken a new twist people are allowed to join free of cost for a limited period of time, receiving limited benefits during that time. To remain an Affiliate, you are required to upgrade to a higher level after the initial free time period has ended. Companies offering this type of program then gain additional and continuous revenue from the monthly fees being paid by their Affiliates. It would seem that these companies generate more income from their Affiliates than the general public. To me, its just another scam. What do YOU think, should this practice be investigated?
